IGP Egbetokun Orders Police to Be on High Alert, Warns Against Proceeding with Protest



Nigeria's Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has confirmed the murder of a police officer and injuries to several others during Thursday's #EndBadGovernance protests.

 He also noted that some police stations were attacked and burned by individuals disguising themselves as protesters. As a result, the police force has been put on red alert, with officers ready to respond swiftly to unprovoked attacks on security personnel.
