Pres. Embalo Hails Tinubu’s Economic Steps.

The President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embalo, says the Economic Commission for West African States, (ECOWAS), will support President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to reposition the country.

President Umaro, who is also the Chairman Authority and ECOWAS Heads of State and Government, said this on Saturday, during a private visit to President Tinubu in Lagos.

He said the economic steps so far taken would not only be for the good of Nigeria but of West Africa as a whole.

Addressing newsmen after the visit, the Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy, Dele Alake, said the visit was strictly private.

The meeting was attended by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, among others.

The Guinea-Bissau leader left after the over-three-hour private meeting.
