2023 General Elections: Natasha Defects To PDP




The Peoples Democratic Party says it will return Nigeria to its glorious days of socio-economic prosperity come 2023 following what it called socio-economic retrogression experienced under the APC led government in Nigeria.

National Chairman of the PDP, Iyocha Ayu said this at the formal defection ceremony of the 2019 Kogi State Gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan alongside over fifty thousand supporters in Ihema, Okehi local government area of Kogi State.

The defection of Natasha Akpoti- Uduaghan to the Peoples Democratic Party from the Social Democratic Party puts to rest the several weeks of speculations that greeted the media space.

Addressing the large crowd of Natasha’s supporters who joined her from the SDP and PDP members in Kogi State, National Chairman of PDP, Iyocha Ayu who spoke through the party’s National Secretary, Senator Sam Anyanwu called on Nigerians to use the current economic situation of the country as yardstick to send the APC out of government.

Natasha said she will contest the Kogi central senatorial election and called on those who intimidated her in the last election to have a rethink as she is on a fearless outing this time.


The defection ceremony was attended by members cutting across its hierarchy in Nigeria as the PDP is hopeful of a politically bumper harvest in 2023.
