Nigeria’s Ambassador To Malaysia Presents Letters Of Credence [Full Details]




The Ambassador of Nigeria to Malaysia, Dr Hajara Ibrahim Salim, has formally presented her Letters of Credence to the Head of State and the King of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Al Mustapha Billah Shah.


According to a statement issued by the Embassy of Nigeria in Kular Lumpur, Salim who was appointed High Commissioner to Malaysia and Brunei in February was unable to present her letters due to restrictions and measures put in place to reduce the effect of COVID-19 in the country.

  • The statement said the ambassador and the king discussed issues of mutual benefit and restated commitment towards strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
  • “Ambassador Hajara Salim who was accompanied to the ceremony by the Head of Chancery, Musa Godowoli, and other officials of the embassy, marks her first official engagement in the country.

“The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador is also expected to present a letter of concurrent accreditation to the Sultan of Brunei at a later date,” the statement added.
