How ever, the chairman of the Student Representatives Committee has confirmed that the rumors spreading like wild fire is false.
Hence, below is the letter dropped by the Special Assistant to the SRC Chairman on Media and Publicity;

Dear FUBKites,
RUMOURED BANDIT ATTACK
The attention of The Office of the SRC Chairman has been drawn to the rumour spreading like wildfire about a group of bandits preparing to launch an attack in FUBK.
Having confirmed from the University Management, this rumour is nothing but a misleading and false information! The authors of this rumour are just trying to stir up the solace we enjoy in this campus.
Further investigations revealed that the authors of this rumour complemented their blatant lie with the visit paid by The State's Commissioner of Police today. It should be noted that the Commissioner's visit to the university management is based on his personal assignment i.e. ensuring security outfits are strengthened or complemented in all institutions of learning throughout the state. The Commissioner paid a courtesy Visit on this note and that's all.
We will like to vehemently establish the true fact that there was no pre-attack letter from any bandit group to the university.
Students are enjoined to be positive and positive minded, do not be a party in the dissemination of false and unverified information.
Students should kindly return to their studies as there's no reason to be afraid.
While we wish all FUBKites success in their examinations, we also pray such misconstrued thoughts will not come to pass God's willing.
Ultimately, read well, eat well and rest well for there's no reason to be afraid!
