Regarding the recent issues of ASUU Stike and Corona Virus, GistOnlinesNg Media had a little talk/interview with the current SRC Chairman of Federal University Birnin Kebbi "M.M. Majo" as he speaks passionately and apologize to students of the institutions.
He Said:
Many Students might blame the Student Representative Concil (SRC) based on the recent happenings, saying "had it been the school had started exams earlier, they might be rounding up their exams by now... But i am really sorry. At first, the entire committee thought we are doing the fresh students (100 Level) a favour. That was Exactly the reason why we appeal to the school management to postpone the examination date.
He added that the school management has not publicize any notification regarding the 30 days break declared by the federal government starting from Friday 23rd March 2020. So He Urge students Not To rush back home as the school management might to comply.
M.M Majo also urges the university students to stay focus and never relent [Keep studying]
After Long Talk, A 300Level Mathematics Student "Bolaji Ajibola Jethro (A member of Eagle Press Club)" Suggested that the SRC committee should develop a well organized Media Press platform In the school, that will help convey vital information trending in the school, and reduce the spread of rumors.
Bolaji Jethro Added that the rate at which rumors spread like wide fire in the school is growing bigger each day.. which is actually miss leading students.
The SRC chairman agreed to his suggestion.
