A Kaduna state high court has again adjourned the hearing in the case of the leader of the Islamic movement of in Nigeria Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky to 25th March 2019.
The trial judge, Justice Gideon Kurada in his ruling called on the Department of State Security, DSS to allow El-Zazzaky access to his physicians both within and outside the country for adequate medical attention.
The health condition of El Zazzaky dominated Tuesday’s trial of the leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria. Counsel to El-Zazzky, Femi Falana prayed the court to consider the health of his client since it is only the living that can stand trial.
The court also ordered that the charges against the first and second defendants be withdrawn while those of Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife stand.
