This summer Real Madrid shocked the football world when they sold one of their best players in history, Cristiano Ronaldo, to Juventus.
The Portuguese forward has achieved almost everything there is in football - he has won every club trophy and individual award possible for him, including the Champions League and Ballon d'Or both five times. He has even won the first ever major international tournament for Portugal.
Ronaldo is the top goalscorer in Portugal's and Real Madrid's history and holds multiple records that may never be broken.
But like every other legendary sportsman - Ronaldo hasn't achieved everything. But, while he is very unlikely to win a World Cup, there are major achievements Ronaldo can still manage to accomplish in his career.
See achievements Ronaldo is still Missing Below:
1. A Continental Treble
Ronaldo has won five league titles, three domestic cups and five Champions League trophies. But never all three in the same season. In the 2007-08 season, Ronaldo scored more than 40 goals for Manchester United, winning the second Premier League title in a row and his first Champions League trophy. Even though United theoretically got a treble as they also won the Community Shield, it wasn't a continental. For that, the Manchester side had to win the FA Cup, but they were beaten by Portsmouth in the sixth round.
2. A Golden Ball or Boot on an international level
Unfortunately, Ronaldo underperformed in his first three World Cups, scoring only three goals in total. He did massively improve in 2018, scoring a hat trick against Spain but as Portugal was eliminated in the round of 16, Ronaldo wasn't considered for the Golden Ball. Because he didn't manager a single assist, he didn't win the Silver or Bronze boot. The fantastic forward has been much better in European Championships. Even before the historic 2016 Euros, Ronaldo was included in the tournament's all-time XI.
3. 5 goals in a Champions League game
Ronaldo is possibly the greatest player to ever play in the Champions League. He is the most successful footballer in the tournament with five titles, and the top goalscorer with 120 goals. But regardless of all his records, Ronaldo has never scored five goals in a game. It is worth mentioning that only two players have done it before – Lionel Messi against Bayer Leverkusen in 2012, and Luiz Adriano in the 2014 group stages against BATE Borisov. In 2015, Ronaldo became the 12th player to score four goals in a Champions League match and in 2017 he became the first player to score back to back hat-tricks. With those, he caught up with Messi and now holds a shared record for the most trebles with seven.Seeing how motivated by records Ronaldo is, quite possibly we could see him score five goals in a game next season.
