The chairman of Nigeria’s governor’s forum Abdulaziz Yari says the freezing of Benue state government's account by the economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) is unconstitutional.
Speaking with state house correspondents after a meeting with acting president Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday, the Zamfara state governor said the action by the EFCC amounts to shutting down the Benue state government.
Yari insisted that the Buhari administration will not condone the violation of the law by any arm of the security agencies.
The Zamfara governor noted that the sack of the former director general of the department of state service is a clear warning to other heads of security agencies.
