Nigeria Music Industry Mourns Ras Kimono || GistOnlinesNg

The Nigerian Music and Culture Community has been thrown into mourning following the passing of veteran Reggae Star Ukeleke Onuwbuya popularly known as Ras Kimono on sunday morning

The death which was announced by the Copy Right Society Of Nigeria (COSON), threw it’s members and Reggae lovers into deep mourning as music lovers expressed grief.
President of COSON, Tony Okoroji described the death of the Reggae Icon as shocking and a big loss to the Entertainment Industry.
He however stressed that solace should be drawn from the fact that the late Reggae legend left indelible foot prints as a passionate artiste who contributed his quota to the growth of Nigerian Music.
The Delta Born artiste started his career as a member of the Jastize Reggae  Ital, alongside Majek Fashek, Amos Mc Roy  Jegg and black Rice Osagie .
His music was greatly influenced by his early life and he released his solo debut album titled “UNDER PRESSURE” under the premier music label in 1989 which shot him to continental stardom.
Kimono in his life time won several awards including Nigeria Music Awards, fame music awards and many more.
