Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly launched a shock attempt to land a Barcelona winger this summer.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, the Red Devils are keen on landing France international Ousmane Dembele.
Dembele struggled to make an impact at the Nou Camp during his first season after his arrival from Dortmund in a €145m deal.
The forward struggled with injuries and failed to establish himself in the first team, while reports have suggested that Barcelona could cut their losses and sell the summer.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly been chasing the former Rennes star for some time and there had been rumours of the possibility of a loan move to Anfield, with Arsenal also linked.
The Catalan giants are reportedly keen on United’s Anthony Martial, who himself has been linked with a summer exit, as they see him as similar to Samuel Eto’o.
Don Balon states that the LaLiga giants would consider a swap deal between Dembele and Martial if the Premier League side were willing to offer €25m (£22m) as well.
