Liverpool are trying to sign Yerry Mina, the Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus talk is getting louder and Kieran Tierney is heading to Everton, according to Tuesday’s European papers.
LIVERPOOL IN FOR YERRY MINA
Liverpool are reportedly trying to hijack Fenerbahce’s move for to sign Yerry Mina.
Fotomac report that Liverpool have registered their interest in the centre-back, who only joined Barcelona in January from Brazilian side Palmeiras.
The 23-year-old struggled to get to grips with life in Spain and only made six appearances for the La Liga club.
Fanatik report that Fenerbahce have held talks over a loan move for the Colombian, but now the Reds are trying to move in on the player.
The same source report that Mina’s preference is to stay in Catalonia, but Marca claim Barca want to sign Arthur Melo from Gremio and his arrival would mean Barca would have too many non-EU players in their squad and would have to sell or loan one out.
Liverpool were first linked with Mina by AS in May, who cited journalist Ignacio Miguelez after he told the Spanish program El Chiringuito that Barca were keen for Mina to get some experience in Europe and that Liverpool would be his destination for next season.
Mina signed for Barca from Palmeiras on a five-and-a-half-year contract for a fee of £10.5million in January and he has a €100m release clause.
MANCHESTER UNITED SUBMIT OPENING ROMAGNOLI OFFER
Jose Mourinho has identified his No 1 defensive target this summer, with Manchester United submitting an opening offer for Alessio Romagnoli, claim reports in Italy.
Italian newspaper il Gazzetta dello Sport claims Mourinho wants the powerful Italy defender to sign for the club this summer – and has set aside a large chunk of his summer warchest to ensure efforts to bring the Milan star to Old Trafford are successful.
Romagnoli only signed a new and improved deal to stay at Milan earlier this summer, but the Italian paper believes United still have a good chance to lure him away given the club’s need to balance the books and in response to their Financial Fair Play sanctions.
The paper believes one of either Romagnoli or Leonardo Bonucci could be forced to move on this summer to help balance the books – with PSG, rather than United, more likely to sign the latter.
The paper claims United’s Romagnoli approach also includes bonuses for €5m, taking the package to €50m.
However, they believe United could go as high as €65m (£57.4million) to land what they, the paper claims, is now Mourinho’s No 1 target.
