Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has admitted he doesn’t know where he stands ahead of the new season.
The German made a series of errors in the Champions League final and Liverpool broke the world transfer record for a goalkeeper to replace him.
He has since looked vulnerable against both Tranmere and Borussia Dortmund in preseason, with the psychological effects of making high-profile errors clearly taking their toll.
Alisson will arrive from Roma in the coming days and Karius has admitted that he has no idea whether he will stay at the club.
“Of course that’s not perfect for me, but I cannot say much more about that either,” said Karius when asked about the speculation. He was then asked whether he would leave before the transfer deadline and he said: “I do not know that.
“I cannot say what I’m doing right now, there’s still some time left.”
Karius has received support from Iker Casillas and lately from his Liverpool teammate Mo Salah.
