Chelsea star mocks England goalkeeper Pickford’s height

Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has mocked Jordan Pickford for allowing Adnan Januzaj’s shot to beat him in Thursday’s final group game.
Pickford was unable to stop Januzaj’s left-footed effort, which went into his top left-hand corner.
Despite it hardly being an error, Courtois said that he would have caught the ball.
Courtois believes that Pickford’s height is a weakness, and was exploited.
“The goalkeeper is 10cm smaller than me,” he told Belgian outlet Voetball24.
“I would have caught it. He was too busy throwing his legs in the air.”
Courtois is not the only one to question Pickford, as Gary Neville was particularly scathing of his “strange” goalkeeping.
“He comes in – he has to come in – and then you’re thinking he has to show him down the line, and he doesn’t show him down the line. I have to say it’s poor from Danny Rose,” Neville told ITV Sport of the left-back’s defending.
